Hats!

AHHHHHHHH!!!  So much for blogging the past couple of weeks!  I got ready for the bazaar on November 10th, then spent the next week recovering.  Now, I have a plethora of hats that need homes!

The weatherman says it might snow in the Willamette Valley!  (Okay, we all know that whenever they predict snow, it doesn't come; it always comes when we least expect it.)  For $8, (or $10 includes shipping if you are out of town) you support local business & keep your kids' (or grandkids') heads warm! I have newborn-4 made in various styles, but can make bigger hats on request.  :)  If you don't see your color or style, let me know & I'll see what we can do!  Oh, and Duck fans, I do have a size 1-2 green & yellowhat on hand . . . So, without further ado, here is a sampling of the hats I have on hand. (Sorry about some of the poor pics.  I was in a hurry!)  Contact me @ 1uponawhim@gmail.com.  If you are local, you can just drop by my place & pick something out--or I can come to you!

What's New

I'm always busy.  I love the down-times!  I love being at home!

In less than 2 weeks, I'll be taking part in selling at an Open House--Holiday Gift Bazaar, which means I have to get into gear and start working like mad (instead of posting blogs.  Uh-oh.) I have been sewing a lot more lately, both making stuff to sell and stuff for my pattern making class!

Here's what I'm working on:

Cute fleece hats (selling for $8)

Pleated 3/4 Circle skirt for my pattern making class

Pretty Place mats!

Jane Fonda, Move Over!

After talking to my 9:00 step & sculpt class multiple times about doing an 80's class, I finally set the date:  November 1st, the day after Halloween.  This seemed appropriate, and I invited members (many over 65) to join me by wearing their best 80's aerobics gear.

The night before the class, I had a moment of panic.  WHAT IF NO ONE DRESSED UP BUT ME?!?!

My friends told me that I couldn't let that stop me.  I had to own it.  For better or for worse, I did.  And, in attempt at full disclosure, here I am.  Purple leggings, leotard, and all.  If you look in the mirror of the first picture, you'll see another young woman in leggings and a leotard too, so at least I wasn't the only one!  It was totally, radically bodacious.
